Outside of My Scrubs: Halloween on Ice

Knowledge dropped…boom. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good burnt orange romper/jumpsuit, or blazer; I mean, I like stepping outside of my comfort zone as a fashion head, but sometimes, the fit just ain’t it.

I recently paired one of my fave graphic tees featuring the TMNT with an orange skirt. It was the beginning of fall, entering Halloween season… I wanted to be festive. Boy boy boy, thank the good Lord I got to live another day ‘cause it was a total miss, just wasn’t me. I mean CHILE….. let’s just say, I won’t be pairing an orange skirt with a top of the darker hue. I looked like Halloween….on ice. So yeah, no pics from that day. 🤷🏽‍♀️

So the next weekend when I went out with some friends for a Nigerian Independence Day party (#Naija!!!), I knew I had to wear green, and my reattempt at this fit was just as poppin’ as my lime green skirt 😜.

I say this to say not all my creations are perf, (far from it actually), but even during my faulted feats, I still feel I learn a lot about myself and my sense of style. And orange + black…. it ain’t fa me boo. ✌🏾
